Diversity adds value, without question. As a leader hiring a new team member, I always look for skills, life experiences and expertise that my team currently lacks. Each new person adds fresh ideas, compelling insights and a unique viewpoint. Why waste an open position hiring someone who is similar to someone you already have?
Which is more valuable: a pocket knife with 15 screwdrivers or one with 15 different tools?
